What is the ultimate intention of a mediumship experience?
The ultimate intention and goal of this experience is to support the healing process during the long and emotional journey of grief and mourning. When you connect with a loved one in spirit, it encourages healing and the ability to move forward. I like to say, it’s like a soothing balm on a deep wound.
What should I do after a reading?
After a reading it is best to do something relaxing. You may want to sit quietly or go for a walk. You may even want to indulge in some comfort food. Give yourself a break from stress and tension and let the messages from the Other Side settle in. It often requires days and sometimes even weeks for you to receive the maximum benefit of the information presented during a reading. Some people report feeling fatigued after a session. What we know is that the energy of connecting along with the elevated emotions access the brain in a way that increases brainwave activity.
What is the client’s job during the session?
Try to be as open to receiving as possible. Listen, and validate whether the information given makes sense or not. It’s a three conversation between you, me and your lovies in spirit! Most important, relax and benefit from your connection with Spirit.
What’s the difference between a psychic and a medium?
Psychics rely on their basic sense of intuition and psychic ability to perceive information from the vibrational energy of people or objects. A psychic can read this energy to perceive past, present, or future possibilities in that person’s life.
I like to say psychic energy is like the AM dials on a radio. AM is a certain band-with and strength of signal.
A medium is a psychic who can also connect with the spirit or consciousness of people who have physically died. So every medium is a psychic, but not every psychic is a medium. A medium uses her or his abilities to tune in to the spirit energy surrounding a person. This means mediums rely on the presence of non-physical energy outside of themselves for the accurate and specific information relevant to the person in the session.
Mediumship then, is like the FM dials on a radio. Different band-with, different strength and signal.
What if no one comes from spirit to connect with you during a session?
I have never had this experience during a session. In all my years of sitting with Spirit, someone always presents themselves. But, if that were to happen it does not mean that Spirit does not want to connect with you, but that it might not be the right time. They may be waiting for a better time, when their messages make more sense. Sometimes, a person coming for a session is in deep, recent grief and can feel blocked or unable to make sense of the information coming through. In the rare case that this happens with your reading, we will reschedule a reading a few months later and try again with additional fee.
How can I prepare for a reading?
All you need to do is present with an open heart and an open mind.
What are the senses and what do they mean?
The “Clairs" are the psychic senses, or as I like to call them, the senses of the soul. Every Medium has their own unique combination of dominant senses. Here are some of most common:
Clairvoyance - clear seeing
Claircognizance - clear knowing
Clairaudience - clear hearing
Clairsentience - clear feeling
What is the science behind Mediumship?
Science is a language we use to explain things, including the metaphysical. I think you would agree that before we knew how to explain gravity it existed, right? While we are not able to understand exactly how these psychic and mediumistic experiences occur, we do know through scientific study that brainwaves created in a specific sulci of the brain register differently when a person making connections is tested. For many years mediums and psychics along with monks and meditators have been subjected to brainwave mapping, MRI imaging and cognitive testing. We are beginning to put the pieces together and this will lead us to the understanding that we are just tapping in to our deeper senses, it is normal and just like gravity, it existed before we could understand and explain it using the language of science.
